Any ideas how to make a star?
Hi,

I want to have star (large ball of gas) in my dark ride. I have a basic sphere but lighting it is proving difficult.

I can put floods in the sphere to make it look like light is coming from it but its surface stays dark. If I place flood lights around it, hidden in say asteroids then it looks like the light is coming from the rocks due to the light cone effect.

Have I missed something obvious? I can't find a light that is powwerful enough but does not have a light cone effect. In short I just need the light - not the cone.
