accessibility options / lower difficulty mods?
Hey. I've been playing this game on and off since launch, across three separate platforms, and I am not great. I was hoping that trends in the industry would lead to some accessibility options included in recent updates for my own selfish purposes. That did not happen, at least not that I've seen.

Are there any mods that would fit the bill? I'm thinking of something like Hades' "God Mode," wherein you steadily gain damage reduction through deaths, or Dead Cells' "Custom Mode" and new features. I've seen an invincibility mod, but I don't know that it's updated to work with the current version of the game, and I would honestly prefer more of a middle ground. For example, I've played and beaten the base game of Cadence of Hyrule, and find that difficulty more appropriate. I am aware that its DLC has upped the challenge level quite significantly, at least in my experience.

Most of the mods seem to be cosmetic, level focused, or for new songs. Have the recent modding changes broadened the spectrum? Please let me know if you've come across any. And it should go without saying, but I mean no offense to the hardcore players of this game that have embraced its full breadth of difficulty.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I can't think of any mods which fit the bill, however with this newest DLC there are some new options in the Extra Modes room of the lobby. I think dance pad mode, which is described as easier and from what I can tell gives everyone a broadsword if they can wield it and a fire/healing spell combo, has been around since the beginning but there's a few other new modes too.

My favorite part of these new modes is the custom mode which lets you combine them in a variety of ways. For example I ended up changing the rhythm to beatless (which lets you have anyone play like Bard) and added a randomizer which gives all enemies new stats and behaviors to it. It sure wasn't easy, but it gave me a chance to get back into the swing of things after putting Crypt down for a while, with a new twist on how enemies act.

You can also choose whether or not you want this to be a multi character run, if you want only amplified or story mode characters, and more.

Keep in mind though that this custom mode will take you through all zones of the game, it won't make an impact if you go through the stairs to start at a particular zone.

I hope this helps!
