Can read this, to make your own spawn tables that you can place inside the Steam\steamapps\common\Unturned\Sandbox folder. This will load up in your single player world and allow the mod items to spawn naturally (The ones that you placed onto the spawn table anyway)
https://unturned.gameinfo.io/spawns/set/spawn
To check the list of vanilla spawntables' IDs so you can tag your spawn table onto it (Using Root)
are there any basic maps which can simply randomly spawn in any added mod content?
If basic maps spawn modded items, that meant that within the mod itself there is a spawntable made for the modded items to spawn onto basic map's spawns.
So yeap it is still the case as of now.
ok thanks, i guess this means that ideally we just need 1 thing from the cool devs of unturned..
"a feature that simply automatically adds random spawns from time to time, anywhere in the map, and those random spawns randomly pick any item from any mod, close to the area where you are"
so for example, in single player mode, the game would detect that you are in the top left area of the map, and in that area, it would add say 5 random spawn points, and then pick any 5 items that exist in mods, and simply spawn those there.
once you pick something up, another item spawns randomly, so that there are only ever 5 random spawns in a given area, and then after say 20 minutes or so, existing items could despawn, and fresh ones randomly replace them.
(a few extra options could be made available for servers etc, but something like the above, to have random spawns will mean that new players can simply subscribe to mods, and play with them, and all the items will have a chance of spawning in.
in theory, its that simple the devs just need to allow it, such as at ground level only or somewhere where a player can reach and access the spawn point ;)
