Old Campaign question
I once helped run a popular NWN1 campaign setting decades ago. Back then you had to properly load in a very specific order the CEP and haks. If I were to re-introduce my DarkSun campaign setting to the community using Steam, what are the complications involved and would it even be compatible? I'm certain I'll have to go through everything a few times with myself and some testers to get any wrinkles out at the very least.

Will be looking for DMs for sure. Will be bringing 2 of the original DM's plus myself back to the game. OG scenario RP geniuses.

//Features//
~ The old campaign featured 243+ areas with a dozen or more in the works.
~ Custom Psionics Schools, training and skill levels
~ Custom ship & caravan transport
~ Custom currency + vanilla
~ Built for L40 cap
~ Hundreds of custom scripts (no spaghetti)

//Historical Standard//
~ High stable player base.
~ Server was fluctuating inside the top 5 often top 3 spot for Role Play/Story PVP/PVE for years.
~ Had 8 dedicated and skilled DMs

I am at a point where I'd like to get it running.

Not that much has changed.

The hak order is specified in the same way.

You can create a Steam Workshop Item containing your module, haks etc as described in the FAQ.

Once you have a Workshop page, you can then list common haks like CEP as Required Items - no need to bundle them in the upload.

In almost every case, old modules work in EE.

There tend to be minor exceptions, so test everything, especially pathfinding - it's not unusual to find one or two doors that don't work anymore, for example.

P.S. No disrespect to Steam, but many PWs are using NWSync[nwn.wiki] to distribute files these days. There is also Neverwinter Vault.

Yea when we were going to port everything to nwn2 and we found that anyone could download the entire campaign and all the work within and use it for themselves. So it never happened. I've put Arma3 missions up on the workshop, but those are a different thing entirely, a few hours of work, not a few years and a handful of coworkers at microsoft (at the time) helping with good code, like psionics for example.
NWSync may suffer from content expansion too. We had to cut some things from the original run because of a file size soft cap but it's far more reliable than basically giving away the module.
