How to get noticed?

Hi i have made some arena maps but am finding it incredibly difficult to find people who will download and play it... Which is frustrating as i have spent a lot of time making them good.

Does anyone have tips for getting your maps noticed?
I have already posted in the map advertising area and that is basically a dead zone for everybody...

Show your friends. I really don't know. All I did was upload it then forget about it when I went back to look at mine it had a few people playing it...

yeah i have about 6 subscribes... but its really hard once it goes off the front page xD
then it just gets burried an dnever found again lol. I try every once in a while to host a game of it and a few people join. i got 1 or 2 subs from that..

Yeah.. Some how mine is on the first page of "Top Rated All Time".. I did not put that much effort into mine. But I have friends that like my screenshots and they probably rated it up as soon as I uploaded it which boosted it way up.

The sad truth is, people don't really get noticed if they make maps.
