Workshop Quality Slowly Declining
So my major issue at the moment is the quality of the workshop content. I get kinda mad when I see yet another "Lawlz so random" game in the workshop. When those are posted, all the author does is look for attention and boy do they ALWAYS get it. And then with all the garbage being dumped into the workshop for attension, comes lack of attention for the good products, or at least the ones the author worked hard on. I hate to point names, but Sonic go fast or whatever is the worst offender in my opinion. First off, it clearly has zero time put into it, it's broken as all hell, it's not even the slightest bit related to sonic the hedgehog, and why does everyone play it? Because it's "Lawl so random". Please, if you know you're workshop item is garbage, don't release it. Just my opinions.

I know at lot of people in the normal discussion forum seem to be working on some stuff that involved actual work. Maby I should start encouraging them to post it to the workshop and post my own test projects (that actually involved work) as well. I think the main problem is lack of good stuff on the workshop. A lot of the better stuff posted to the workshop are people messing around with a concept and seeing if they can get it to work. While these can be cool they dont really have much in the way of gameplay. So people download it go cool and then never play it again. Lulz so random projects have the lulz factor so they may get people to play them more for laughs.

Basicly we need more quality things on the workshop that actually have some reason to play aside from providing the developer with feedback.

I agree, the workshop definetly is a place for concepts, it can get quick feedback, and a lot of the time the concepts are the most technically impressive.

Most of the games are random, I do agree, maybe if people actually started getting serious, we could have epic games on the workshop..

Well there are great games on there, and great tech demos, but you know the quality is declining when you go to newest first and see 'you can rotate a square!'.
