@modders can you make an option to ignore offscreen monsters?
I am playing a higher archmage, and I got heightened senses from quests, and there is also a higher mastery that gives +1 to sightrange with some immunity to blindness. The result is that it's constantly detecting monsters from several tiles offscreen, well out of range of even my lightning spells. I can't describe how annoying this is. "oh I stopped, let me search through the text log to see what direction the monster is. Oh its out of range, i have to manually walk up that way for a few squares". OK I killed it, let me just press z again... "Oh I stopped again with no monster...." and so on. I don't care about monsters that are out of range of my lightning spell, which is one of the longest range offensive spells in the game. I would much appreciate an option to ignore monsters outside of 10 squares away unless they are stronger than average.

I dropped a bug in Zizzo's ear about this (guy who made the zomnibus addon, which specializes in lots of small quality of life tweaks for the game), and hopefully he can figure out a way to do this, and add it to game. Not sure if anything will come of it, but there you go. forum thread is here, if you want to watch for updates.
