Don't buy a Chromebook. If you're running on Chrome OS, That's why. Chrome OS Doesn't run execution files.

EDIT: You may have Linux on your Chromebook pre-installed, so try running the games on a Linux operating system, and make sure the game is compatible with your operating system.

According to one of the devs, Stick Fight doesn't support Linux users.

-If- it's a "3rd party application" that's interfering, I couldn't find much as to the specifics, but perhaps it's an app, or similar, you've downloaded about the same time you were having issues? Or that's how I would see it at least... however, it's only a potential diagnosis leading in the direction of what may be the source(s), not necessarily a fix.
