The extra party members are a consequence of the game having a story error, and reverting back to a default story scripting state, which adds these characters to your party for some reason.
The NexusMod page didn't mention it needed another mod to work, and it is an OdinBlade mod, which I have the ModServices companion mod already installed thanks to Workshop. So I would have thought when it comes to additional mod requirements, I would have been good. And I have seen story errors before but for some reason it's only with the Harpy class mod from Nexus these party members show up. So I am not sure if it's because of the Harpy class specifically, or because it is a Nexus mod specifically.
When I get the time, I'll be doing more research on the topic, but I thank you for your reply, that'll help a lot. I do find it weird that for some reason, it just give you permanent rando party members. Should be an option/ability somehow to either remove them from the party or delete them from the game, but I have been coming to find out that Divinity is a strangely put together game.
If any mod in your load order has story scripting for instance, those scripts won't work after this error. Even if you absolutely know your mods don't have story scripting, it's still not advised to continue without remedying the problem, as the story it reverted to may be from an older version of the game. The 4 players being added to your party is a good example of that - It's not a typical thing the game does, so some rule somewhere didn't work correctly in this fallback story .osi, or the fallback story .osi itself is designed for a developer environment.
Your working story error may not be from that Harpy mod, unless it's the only variable here that causes it, and deactivating that mod results in no error.
I'm getting this exact error. I unsubscribed from all, quit the game, then resubscribed to the odincore stuff and am still getting it. Any idea what might be causing it?
