(Question) "CODEA" for X4?
I, fondly, remember using CODEA extensively on X3 but have seen no mod that compares to it on X4. From being able to rapidly launch/dock fighters, to having M5s "Patrol" in a circle around the carrier/fleet, it was a hugely necessary QOL mod back then.

Does anyone know of a mod that compares to X3's CODEA in a way that could enhance carrier gameplay?

they are none for x4, I also loved CODEA but in my opinion x4 handles carriers very well

It's definitely a step up over X3 vanilla carrier mechanics, of course.

Some of the things I miss are how it handled fleets as a whole and how it tasked different types of fighters to different targets. Could handle sending out Bombers to attack heavier targets, and only send lighter fighters against fighters/etc. X4 makes no distinctions there.

Yes I agree on that, check this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/x4foundations/mods/839
It's the only mod that changes how ships engage each other etc... It's nothing like CODEA but it does help carriers, fighters won't engage heavy targets etc..
