Basically, Xardas would ask the hero at the start of the game if hero can remember which camp he joined. Depending on the answer, this would lead to some small starting bonuses that could look like the following:

Old Camp: STR +5 ; One-handed and Crossbow +5 ; knows basic forging
New Camp: DEX +5 ; One-handed and Bow +5 ; knows how to take claws
Sect Camp: Mana +5 ; Two-handed +9 ; knows basic potion for health and mana
Does not remember: Health +40


That would be pretty much it.
