Report a translation problem
So take the package files for each mod from it's workshop folder and place them in the packages folder.
Then you can unsubscribe and when you load the game the mod will be uninstalled and the workshop folder deleted.
Install the mod manually, it will show up as a package to install in your content listing. Once installed you can delete the package from the packages folder.
For me though I do keep the packages on a separate backup drive.
Downside of this is you won't get automatic updates and will need to pay attention to this yourself.
I usually stay subscribed to recent mods for a while, but if they haven't been updated in a long time then I follow the above.
dose that sound right that just seems crazy that probably will end up needing 1.5 Terra bites for the sims content
Quite sure it's not just rF2. It's the way Workshop works. All games steamapps\sorkshop\content > then numbered folders for each game.
