User Customisation of Steam Workshop Mods
maybe someone else has some additional Ideas:
I have two Mods which make most sense if the User can easily change/replace certain Files of them. This is not a given when they are packed into cats/dats by the Workshop Tool.

Specifically i need for one Mod a Text/xml file ( t/0002.xml ) to be easily user editable and for the other one i want an Option to easily replace a certain Set of Textures within the Mod.
I didnt find a way to do any of them (Delivering Workshop Mods with a Set of loose Files would be best)
i have considered to make them a seperate Download, but then i can ignore the Workshop altogether imo.. or would ypu put some files manually in the Game Folder?

The whole point of Workshop is to avoid the need for players to fiddle with files, I dont think it makes much sense to implement a counterintuitive feature.

Not saying its not possible, just not very logical. Still I can poke around and ask.

well, i dont really want to implement some kind of crappy InGame Image Editor for Player Logos, because it would be even more counter-intuitive than swapping out a few loose Files within the Mod ;) and also currently working on a Mod which adds Object Renaming with Expressions, and because the Edit Boxes for Text are limited (can only remove last character, not change something in the middle; also there is iirc some kind of length limit for the input) i would prefer it if the User can define Expressions and their Replacements externally. This also makes them consistent over several Savegames.
