I would pinch in an idea for mod. LET ME SET PRIORITIES FOR EACH DWARF! Holy ***. I give guy an axe and he goes to cut a tree.... Also, let me pause the game and chose tasks for them.

Not sure if helps but I normally increase the speed of the dwarfs:

Go to the folder on your computer: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\CraftTheWorld\data or whatever are those files on yours.

Open the file called creatures.xml - I suggest open on notepad

Search for this line. Probably the first item like mine:
<creature name="worker">

A few lines below it, find this:
<walk_speed value="XX"/>
Change XX to the speed value you want.

Now do the same for:
<creature name="worker_female">

Note:
You can also change whatever you want: attack, health, climb speed, armor etc

But every time the game updates, it will reset this file so you'll need to repeat these steps after each update xd
