External and Internal Mod Variety

I noticed that there isn't really a lot of general mod variety with this game. Sure, I can download files for this game, but I can't even install them on here. Is there anyway in which we can install external mods into the game besides just maps, or is that it? I don't think that's all we can download, just maps, and use them in the game, but how should I know for reals?

There's an overall modding system you have to install on top of your game, called NCMS. It's similar to other types of umbrella modding systems that expand what the game allows to be changed, such as SKSE or StardewModdingAPI.

After you have NCMS installed, all you have to do is download mods and extract them into your Mod folder. GameBanana is the only place I've found several worldbox mods. As I perceive it, it seems like a significant portion Worldbox modding goes straight to Discord instead of easy-to-access websites. Which is unfortunate, if that's correct.
