It will likely be necessary to analyze an exported FBX-ascii format, and find out what is specifically causing the conflict in these kind of cases. Do you have access to a copy of 3DS Max?
I've tried exporting my models and textures in blender with both the .obj and the .fbx format and haven't been able to get any of them working. Sometimes the scene shows up and it's all white other times it's just a dark void that greets me. :/ ...oh and the virtual desktop screen is sometimes positioned behind me, mirrored.
O_o
I think that would be great idea. Thanks for taking your time! :)
Add me as a friend and whenever we're both online just give me a shout and i'll take the time to show you what i've been trying to do up till now. Hopefully you can give me some pointers in what's wrong. :)
...does that sound okay to you? :)
You must be exporting your *.obj using "blender render", not "cycles".
The most common reason for the black void is not completely UV unwrapping your mesh. My guess is, if you're 100% sure that you've unwrapped correctly, your using cycles.
Talk soon!
D.
I'm in sweden and it's 7 pm here at the moment so i'll be soundly asleep when you get back from work.
Maybe you can get me a link to how i best can apply textures in the blender render, and then i can try that tomorrow and post back to see if that will have fixed the issue? :)
Well he never got back to me about it, so i tried some tutorials i found on my own youtube, but never got those to work to any real extent.
So unfortunately, no. :/
( Night was very nice and helpfull to me and I thank him for trying to lend a helping hand.
...but in the end i had tp put my project on hold because other real life activites had to take priority. )
