I mean I would make the romhack myself If i knew how. Its just there is no good way of playing the game. Its pretty hard to get a hold of, and the emulator for it only has mouse controls (so like you have to do everything with your mouse).
JK.
Idk really but I reallly hope we see these game. I must know how bad they are!
Not at all equivalent or relevant to running a CD image from a system with higher specs (or a decent emulator of its own).
If this had been about uploading a PS1 game instead, would you still not realize how ludicrous that was?
We just need to go one step futher. Contactiong Nintendo, Konami, maybe even Capcom.
If Sega can't put a lid on this (possibly close or Freeze the workshop) we may have to get the companies who own the games that are wrongfully being uploaded involved.
You guys have no clue how much effort it would take to port a CDI game to the Megadrive. It's a lot of effort to port an NES game to the Megadrive. And even if someone would be willing to do it, they'd have to learn how the CDI works, make a dissasembly for the Zelda CDI (or worse, edit the whole thing in hex), basically re-code the game so it would work within Genesis limitations, re-do the music so it would work on the Genesis sound card, and pray that it fit within the Genesis's limitations. Given all the videos that Zelda CDI has, that last bit would most likely be impossible. If it would be ported to anything, it would be ported to the SEGA CD to handle the video and the music. Even that's not likely to happen though.
