Sonic 1 can't be modded with SonMapEd

It's not detected correctly. Or does SonMapEd need a different rom of Sonic 1?
(Sonic 2 & 3 are detected though)

You don't edit ROMs with SonMapEd..?

You need to use a split disassembly.
SonMapED does not work with raw ROM binaries.

Just look up "Sonic 1 Disassembly" on Google and find whatever one suits your fancy on Sonic Retro.
