Since the free to play update, happened on Sept.23 2020, Rocket League became available worldwide for free as an Epic Games launcher exclusive on PC.

It has been removed from Steam, and its no longer obtainable here.

To be able to use workshop maps on the epic games version of the game, you can use bakkesmod and the relative plugin:

I was looking for Rocket League as well on Steam.
According to the post above it is no longer available on Steam - that's a shame.
