Why does this game crash a lot more?

I noticed since years ago (even though Civ V hasn't gotten any updates) that this game crashes a lot more. I'd play on a far weaker PC, with even more unstable crap, and I wouldn't get nearly the amount of crashes I get today playing this game. Sad, since it seems like a lot of fun mods I would play with years ago now are broken, and furthermore this game as a whole is a lot less stable.

The game stays the same - Windows - steam and drivers keep changing ?

Seems so. More-so Windows and Drivers. It's really a shame since I would be able to go far far longer without any crashes of these kinds, and now I can't even get the same experience I used to years ago with infinitely better hardware.

since 1 week, impossible to play with CivilizationV on my linux/steam !
What is the solution ?

...its now 2024 and we still crash this game every day.....wtf, can I get my money back??? Come to think of it....EVERY game I play from steam crashes at some point while playing! Computer works fine all day until I start playing games......have to save every turn. Its damned annoying...
