Here are instructions on how to launch a MOD

Subscribe to the mod you're interested in, you can find Trine 3: TAoP mods from here
Launch Trine 3 from Steam
Do not advance to the game, instead press Mods button from the launcher and download the mods you would like to play, then press OK
After downloading a mod you can choose it from the drop down list that appears next to the Mods button
After choosing a mod you can launch the game from the launcher
