(WIP) Custom assets
I liked the idea of more "garden worlds". We have Greco-Roman, Egyptian, and Medieval. I thought, "How about something Asian?" Because this game really could use more custom content.

I'm just posting my scribblings on the refrigerator as I teach myself the editor. I'm not sure yet if these have the quality to be released on the workshop -- well, *I* don't feel comfortable releasing them to the public yet. As I "finish" one model, I look back and definitely notice things that I could redo or improve upon. We'll see, though! It's been a fun exercise. :)

MischievousMiscreant's tutorial videos have been seriously helpful. (Har har!)

You might also see the tatami mat and my stone lantern back there.

STONE LANTERN

A hexagonal-style Kodai Maru Yukimi lantern. I still need to go back to add bevelling around the feet.

And a wire of the above lantern.

I dropped it on one of the Messenger islands to see how it would look in an actual environment

And a closeup of the shaders. The same ones used for the torii gate.

I'm trying a cherry tree now. I tried hand-modelling, decided there has to be a faster way. I'm too poor for SpeedTree, but found a free tree-maker. It still doesn't provide the results I'm looking for, so I guess I'll just have to buckle down and practice.

All of these were modelled and UVed in Serious Editor 4. Textures were either made myself or freely available on the web.

I'm an amateur modeler though, so I'm still figuring out tricks and shortcuts (and watching a lot of YouTube videos)!

Thanks for watching! :D

I like the models, but i think the textures look a little too cartoony at this point.
As a sidenote, maybe you could consider using something like blender to create your models?

I did, though the interface pisses me off. I'm looking at alternate control schemes or slowing modifying it to something that's more comfortable.
