Mac OS X freezing glitch

I've tried opening up Left 4 dead 2 multiple times, but every time I try, the screen stays black and I can't play. I can still hear the sound, but I can't see anything. Please help!

Smash up ur 2000 $ mac, its pretty simple and think of building a 100$ pc that would run Left 4 Dead 2 on ultra 60 FPS
