Unusual railway
How about a very unusual railway for a DLC?

Apparently that loco on its side is still there for the taking :) Could go and rescue it and have a little line in your back garden :P

I would love to see routes like the old GNR, Western Corridoor etc featured, the GNR was a great old railway and a shame it shut when it did :(

The Alsager Line gets my vote in this thread. For those who don't know it runs from Crewe to Stoke on Trent and then to Derby and includes Harecastle Tunnel. Stock in use is commonly Class 153s / Class 156s in the modern era or Derby Pressed Steel DMUs in First Generation modern times.

I agree with unusual routes as long as not in UK, Germany and USA. I think 96% of the routes in TS are in those 3 countries. Please, some other countries...
I am not sayong/ asking this because I don't like those countries , but because it would give a chance to route builders. The TGV route in France is not usable for french route builders as it only contains TVM signals.

I'm baffled because it doesn't. Sections of the route include tradtional French lighting signals. ?? are they not usuable for other potential French routes? All the best.

Indian Hill Railways? (I'm sure India as a whole offers very rich pickings.)

Isle of Man railways? (Plenty of variety but the horse drawn line might be tricky.)

For exceptional novelty value how about the Listowel and Ballybunion Railway in Ireland- the only operational Lartigue monorail?
