Importing Map for other games

I've already seen a few good maps where we're playing on a map imported from mario. Can anyone give me an idea how this works? I wish to add some Banjo Kazooie maps for board maps

Haven't worked much with assets but either you remake it with the objects given in the editor or you import your own assets to recreate it OR you get the model file for the map you want and import that one as an .obj.
