Does anyone else wish there could be a way to use sand (a lighter-colored sand like the one in saltwater tanks) in freshwater aquariums instead of the brown substrate they usually use (without getting rid of the option to use that brown substrate too)? It would be especially nice to have as an option for things like African Cichlids, "brackish" animals that you want to keep with purely freshwater animals, stuff like that. I'm not a modder myself, but would there be a way to do this with mods? I think something like "neutral water uses sand, acidic water uses substrate" would be a cool way to implement this. Or something like a new equipment item that changes the substrate texture to sand without changing the water type? Anyway, having more substrate options in general would be a nice thing to have in the game, but particularly for freshwater.
