Get rid of highways
Is there a mod that removes these from the game? I really tried to get back into this but I'm getting so frustrated entering a highway only to get knocked immediately back out. Sometimes it happens 3 or 4 times in a row. How is this a fun game mechanic?

turn off stering mode as soon as you start entering the highway this was pissing me off too till i turned off steering

That indeed decreases some frustration but you can also check out this mod van Nexus.

The other thing you can do is make sure your cursor is centered and just don't move the mouse.

Just hit spacebar as soon as you enter a highway (to turn off steering), problem solved. You'll get used to it. I actually like the highway system :3

I use what WarCrime does and center my mouse just before entering the highway.
