The tunning packs - can you do much with them?

Hi everyone,

I haven't bought the game myself, just wondering if the modding tools seem really flexible or are they not that much to get excited about?

For example, are their aspects of gameplay that are moddable in a new, unique way that we could not do with CoH1?

Tuning packs can barely do anything in this version. The CoH2 tools are spectacular compared to this. While the CoH2 tools were limited compared to CoH1.

Theyll update the modding tools over time to eventually involve model importing

thing is that those things were already said to come in previous games, so its not guaranteed to happen

For Coh3, have the actually said that they will allow model importing or did they just say they might someday look at implementing it?

I don't think they have ever said they definitely will.

Modding is severely limited, the whole '1 tuning packs equippable at a time' severely limits what modders can do unless they agree to share their changes with one another to release as a single big overhaul.

I get the feeling they wanna monetize the game as well, everything in the UI seems to be designed like a online game matchmaker form factor, especially the cosmetic and the 'loadout' stuff.

Oh you cannot mod battlegroups, or basically the ingame 'tech tree' stuff for each faction, that's all 'paid' content most likely since the only way to access battle group is when you go into skirmish mode to equip them.
