I don't think you can, unless someone's created a mod to do so. That would be quite handy, like when you jump to a hub and search for a mech with a particular weapon, or Double Heatsinks or something.

I was meaning within the editor, not ingame. Search for say BAP in the editor, youd find the component but also show the files for the cyclops and others that have a BAP. Or did i misunderstand and there are mods or plugins for the editor?

Ah right. Can't help with that, Never used it, correctly anyway =P

Search for "MechStats" data table. There's a search bar where you can type say "AMS" and show all Mechs equipped with AMS on it. Won't work for all components but can be a big help.
