Portals clipping through the surface their on
I'm using the hammer editor and I have one panel at a 45 degree angle. But for some reason the top half of the portal I place on it doesn't seem to let anything pass through it. What do I do?

Are those 45 degree angles on brushes, or are you using a brush attached to an Angled Arm prop?

No just the brush is at 45 degrees. I don't have a model attached. It might have something to do with the fact I've got a portal placement helper on the surface

Make sure the brush face is at least 128 x 64, and the info_placement_helper's blue and green arms are perfectly flush with, and at the same angle as, the surface.

Also make sure the helper's radius is about 25% larger than the portal, and "Use helper's angles" and "Force Placement" are both set to true.

That's fixed it, the helper radius wasn't big enough. Thanks a bunch

You're welcome! Do me a favor and mark my post as the solution. (over on that thing that lets you edit posts)
