Posting in workshop with other people's items?

I like to make habitats containing blueprints I downloaded from the workshop. I often edit the blueprints to suit my needs. I'd like to upload my habitats but since they contain edited stuff made by other people, is that allowed?

Yes, people do that all the time. However, if you are using another person's creation (even if you edit it), you should credit that person for that in your workshop description.
