Limited workshop mods (Link to more mods)

I think the workshop should offer a lot more then just world maps.
Extensive mods have been available for this game for years already.

The mods are genuinely make gameplay a lot more fun, so it goes without saying that the workshop on steam is lacking.

Mods will always fall back on game updates but that's why you have versions, revisions and an active mod community which builds up and maintains itself. (Steam workshop has features build in to support this too)

Opinion/ideas on this?

They really need to add a Mod tag so you can actually sort for mods. Excluding the world tag is pointless because many people don't tag their worlds with it so any mods that may be available just get buried. Really just a massive oversight.
