Man, I'm looking for a good collection.
What do you guys recommend for a good collection? I'm not new to modding nor Kenshi, but I would like a good compatible Mod collection. Anything you guys would recommend?

You can take a look at mine:

It's currently WIP as I'm working on a personal overhaul. I'm more of a heavily curated list kind of modder versus a "kitchen sink" type, so it's relatively light and I'm tweaking it as I find ways to improve it.

Kenshi's mods are usually compatible, as the last mods that touches same files as the previous one, will override it. However this does cause issues with overhaul mods, like UWE, Genesis, Kaizo, etx.etc. as each has been balanced to work alone. There are already compatibility patches for most.

What you cannot combine: animation mods that change the vanilla animations (walk, fight, swim) as you can effectively have only one of them. Having two does not cause any issues tho, just the latter loaded will reign, thus the first one is just futile stuff loaded in vain.

What you should NEVER combine, are mods that change vanilla towns, which unfortunately many overhaul mod does. This may result in duplicated houses nesting and overlapping, resulting them impossible to enter to.

These are the worst mods to combine and also very hard to fix with paths, as they all ADD leveldata and one cannot remove leveldata with another mod. So such a patch would be a manual remake of the other of those mods.

All furniture, weapon and armor mods; have any amount and they will just work. If two or more touched a vanilla asset, the one loaded last will override the others. No conflicts ever.

So, take a peek inside the mod and see if it has leveldata, if, then read carefull the description of the mod to determine if it adds a new town or edits an existing town. Add, no issues, just do not have another mod touching on the same town.

Thank you for this, this is kind of what I was looking for, some guidance in the sense of what to avoid and what to add.
