what is different between force and army ?

In the game, both words mean an individual group of up to 20 units under a general — also known colloquially as a stack — in most contexts.

However, generally, the word army also refers to the entirety of your armed forces — that is, to every single unit you have under your control, across the whole campaign map, whereas force is always an individual group of units under a single general
