Where are workshop mods stored on PC - FOUND
I want to recategorise the mods I've subscribed to, like seriously, I have tables classified under outdoor -> animals. So all I want to do is update the object and recategorise it with Workshop Exporter.

open your tablet in game and at the top the screen there is a tab with a wrench & hammer and your items will be there. (The items you selected in the Steam Workshop)

Players cannot recategorise items from the Steam Workshop, just as they cannot recategorise the game's official items. Only the original maker of the item can do that. The exporter program doesn't work the way you're thinking it does. It's only for uploading and updating a creator's OWN items in the Workshop. It doesn't update items in the game that were made by anyone else.

You can only Open every Objects you subscribed from the Workshop in unity to Change some Things. But after changing (Texture, categories ....) You cant Update the Item, only reupload AS new Item is possible. Only own Objects can be updated .

Ok that's what I'm looking for, where do I find the object to update? So I want to know, when I subscribe to an item, where on my PC that gets stored. I will not reupload items and claim them as my own, I just want to make things easier to find in-game.

it doesn't work that way, you can't just update foreign objects locally. your game will cause problems at the latest with the cloud synchronization

rearranging, i.e. categorizing, is only possible through an update from the creator or a new upload as a separate object.

Ok maybe I am misunderstanding. I assumed the objects are stored locally. In other words I can play the game offline and the CC is available, therefore the CC must be stored locally. There must be a local copy somewhere. I am looking for that location on my PC's harddrive.

Ok so I found where the mods are stored locally and I've managed to change the title and categories and store the updated item in my mods folder. Happy to say it works. Of course this is just on my local PC, not published to the Steam Workshop, so I am not making someone else's creation available as my own. Thanks for the insights everyone!
