"city_types" folder at:
\Victoria 3\game\gfx\map\city_data\city_types
In each text file (not sure if all of them have to be changed):
Set "min_residential_buildings", "max_residential_buildings" and "max_residence_points" to a lower value (I just set all max_residential_buildings to 5 and max_residence_points to 10). If min_residential_buildings is greater than 1 I just lowered it to 1.
"map_object_data" folder at:
\Victoria 3\game\gfx\map\map_object_data
In the "layers.txt":
Set "fade_out" in the "locators" layer to a value lower than 10 (set to 0 to completely hide all cities, gives a ton of frames back). Personally I set it to 6 (just below the clouds, so when the camera passes them, the cities appear).
OOO I'm gonna play around with this! Paired with the mini cities mod, mini world, and roads, gonna be a big boost to frames!
