What s the best way to play multiplayer in 2023?

In the vanilla game most servers are pretty dead to me. Can t find full servers any more. (I am in EU) Is there a mod or so which still has an active player base? Or is the game dead? Thanks for answers. Really would like to get back into multiplayer. Cheers!

The game online is from 200 to 900 players, depending on time of day. No mods where are active players. Game is slowly dying

Thanks for your answer! I will miss RS2. Great game at its time. Guess "burning lands" will follow. Currently changed to "Hell let loose". Cheers

Eh? I'm in the EU and my problem is finding servers that have space!
