Ok I must not be doing this right.so when I load game hit esc and then hit add scrap button it gives me 1,000 and I want to change that amount how do I do that and please give me step by step directions so I don't mess this up again

QoLmod does have ability to give scrap.
Mod does not have ability to configure how much or remove scrap. (you just hit that button until enough)
