Character/NPC mods possible?
I like making mods, I want to change the player and NPC models, is there a guide on which software workflow this game prefers? I've only found resources for modifying ships.

It is not possible no. Egosoft use an old application that is no longer available and got folded into lumberyard, or something like that.

lame. they are leaving money on a burning table not making this pipeline possible, this game would explode in youtube viewership. pity.

It was possible a while back but those models currently have issues (like the XR NPC models on the RoR mod)

It is possible to port old models from rebirth because they are compatible (sort of, now). It is not possible to change them or add new ones.
