Mods install not working

Hello, I started playing again mount and blade warband. And i looked for mods to improve game experience. 1) Is there mods that allow to keep playing the native game (save) just improving or changing the main files of the game, or i allways have to start a new game?

2)Mods not working, i download, place the mod in "modules", it allows me to start, but then loading the
ini files the game crashes. does not pass from loading menu, it shows files missing and gives error and crashes. This is the error that appears when i tried the Fire and ice.. "Warning: HSL_data_handles(9) is not valid.. and the same for handles (45)...Error: get object failed for texture waterbumbp_0 Anyone HELP? thanks

1) You will have to start a new game everytime, but you can export the stats of your character during any playthru, you will have a option to import & export your character, wen you press C and open the leveling screen or whatever is called.

2) No idea whats with that error, personally I dont use the steam workshop for warband mods, I preffer Modb or Nexus, but DL speed is quite slower

Then it's normal, seems very buggy.

well all i can say about that is personal opinion, to put it in a broad way, fantasy stuff is not the high mark of this game, w perhaps a few exceptions .
