I am not the author but a meddlesome handsome guy,
so I can tell you how, maybe.
He said it's not a mod, so "how to install it" is a bit complex and messy.

You would have already downloaded and unzipped the mod,
so you could see "animations" folder inside of it.
"animations" folder also exists at \DoorKickers2\data\animations,
so copy and paste downloaded one there.
Don't worry, no overwriting.
Now you get squat animation, but no gun uses it.

Then you have to edit XML of guns to make guns use squat animation.
Before that, I strongly recommend backup original files.
So copy, paste and rename \DoorKickers2\data\equipment as \BACKUPequipment or something.

I edited M4sup of Rangers.
I opened \equipment\firearms_rifles.xml with a text editor.
At line 510th, its animation is described as animationSet="rifle".
So I edited it as animationSet="animation_diy", which the author made.

"animation_diy" inherits "rifle" and is edited to squat,
so you can change other long guns, except shotguns.
Ranger's long guns are described at \firearms_rifles.xml,
CIA's at \firearms_cia.xml, SWAT's at \firearms_nwswat.xml.
I don't know about mod guns but it should be similar.

I hope this would help you.
Hmm, I have an idea to make all friendly rifles to squat, but no tango one.
I will make it as a normal mod.

I made the mod into "unzip and paste to \mods" thing,
but the test was just 10 mins so there should be bugs.

then press button on the right.
(Its label 認証 means authentification)

You will see green text box with checked mark.
Then press a button at the middle of the page,
which labeled ダウンロード (Download).
Please wait 5 seconds, or click "Download now".

Unzip the downloaded file and copy Squat_when_stopping_Animations folder,
and paste it to \mods



Guns Not to squat are:
Mod guns,
Pistols, Shotguns, Bazookas,
CIA Undercover PM63 (which uses pistol animation)
SWAT Leader/ Assaulter/ Sapper Mini Uzi (which also uses pistol animation),
SWAT Leader/ Assaulter/ Sapper Primaries (troopers drop their guns. I will ask the author).

Because of gun-dropping problem, I didn't make "all friendly rifles to squat" version.

Works like a charm!

Again, thanks a lot.
Dev have updated DK2 to v0.35, so now animation v1.0.2 doesn't work with it.
If you use my file, then disable it.
I have already reported it to the author.
Thank you the author now it works!
I made the rest of the mod, so download both, merge them and paste them into \mods.
