I mean I'm not here wanting some horny NSFW model, I just really wonder why creatures that are supposed to be universally attractive are designed this way.
I'd respect it a lot more if they were elven females, since that's just the sorta tradition, I mean we have fae/fairy's mentioned in lore, so why can't they just be 'big' fairies, i.e elves?
They can be put in a plant-dress like outfit for modesty's sake, with a moderately proportioned body (like Greek statues, i.e a mundanely shaped but beautiful woman) with green leaves and/or vines wrapped around them to cover their chests, crotch, and most of their torso in and shorts/skirt sized area, it'd be fine for everyone really.
They could have ruddy-brown 'chestnut' skin with a soft yet 'barkish' look and green hair if the desired look is a racially neutral and universal appearance, that doesn't correspond directly to any real ethnicity, eitherway making them plant people outright is just awkward.
Yeah, I mean the Entwined guardian sorta works, but that kind of unit is best as a singular example of tendrily-rooty guardian.
The other nature units could stand to be more traditional for certain. As for nymphs being the least weird, I think it's the bulby heads that really weird me the heck out.
It really is mostly just their heads, but I also don't think the spikey and horny aesthetic on their body vibes well on them either. Not very hugable for a seduction unit.
A generally humanoid plant-creature that uses a mix of illusion, mentalism, supernatural pheromones, and so on to appear as whatever is considered attractive to the victim and make their thoughts all wobbly? That actually works regardless of who the targets are or what their perceptions of beauty might be, and just as importantly, would be equally unnerving/alien to all of them.
Sort of, the issue here is that every race has breasts, most have hair, 99% of them have completely typical humanoid body types.
Ergo the elven female of the past would be fine on the vast majority of races as is, also we have Succubi in universe who match that aesthetic with a racial adjustment to look like the base race, but still effective on all races, so the precedent also exists in universe.
That said, this is also a fantasy setting with it's roots deeply in more or less traditional tropes, also that has no explanation for why the Succubots had the same issue.
I really just think it's an aesthetic and artistic decision to have these monstrous things instead of a 'stereotype' that people would expect.
Yeah, though I'm not sure if it works with the new updates. If anyone tries it out, be sure to let us know if it still works!
