:(
Not sure if it will help me at this point since I've already loaded into my Single Player game and exited, but good to know.

This experience sttll serves as a cautionary tale for basically ALL mods. They only work, until they don't.
:D
Happy Arking ;)
The original mod creator passed away, but another respected member of the community has made the same mod available. All credit to the late "Hulk" and thanks to Ark Eternal for preserving the legacy.
I am currently and successfully using the re-posted version of the Multi Storage Box by Ark Eternal, and I can confirm that it does work. Just add the "new" version of the "old" mod (same mod) and play as usual.
Unfortunately, if you've already played (loaded) an existing save without having the Ark Eternal version loading with your mods, all of the containers from the original HG mod will already have been removed from your save. Unless you have a backup, there's nothing you can do to bring those containers back.
Fortunately, I only started up one of my SP save and only on "The Island" map, when I immediately discovered all of the "missing" HG containers. This was back in June when I made the OP, and found out what had happened. I loaded the Ark Eternal version of the mod before playing on any of my other old SP saved maps, and they have had no issues.
Use the link in the thread above, add the Ark Eternal Multi Storage Box, and as long as you haven't already opened all of your saves, then all of the HG Multi Storage containers should be just as they were previous to the change.
Best of luck and don't feel overly bad if you (like myself) lost tons of irreplaceable items and materials. Everything is replaceable (eventually) but these are the risks we accept when we play with mods. No guarantees that mods will be available or compatible in the future.
As a side note, and largely due to my experience with this particular mod, I did a rethink my willingness to use any mod that involves cryo-pods and/or cryo-fridges.
I will NEVER store a tame in anything but a vanilla cryo-pod or store cryo-pod in anything but a vanilla cryo-fridge again. I can accept the risk of losing items, but not tames.
That's my take anyway.
Ciao!
