Lord of The Stars (classical space 4x)
Hey everyone!

Releasing a fully finished candidate of my original tabletop game to workshop now:

---- Abouts ----

Lord of The Stars is a turn-based classical space 4x game with a hexed map, resources, technologies, ship building, colony creation, space and planet fighting, explorable systems, random events and other features that are common to such games in general.

Economy is resource based with player building colonies on various planet types. Each type of colony provides a single resource - amount depends on planet type. Planet type is influenced by it's system type (star color). Each resource in game is used in specific game phase and for multiple tasks (like FOOD for supporting your existing colonies and building new, or SCIENCE for unlocking technologies or terraforming planets).

Game was heavily inspired by old classics of PC space strategies like Master Of Orion II by Microprose and etc. If you are familiar with the series - you'll find yourself in a familiar enviroment in Lords of The Stars.


---- General info ----

Game takes from an hour to several depending on amount of players and is available for 2-6 players to play.

A game can be considered of medium to heavy complexity, but is relatively easy to master.
In-game rulebook provides a phase by phase introduction into gameplay with examples.

Game is using unique art created by me and my friend Peter 'Hirgonn' Dora. It is a colorful and bright game with interesting graphics and stunning species art (thanks to Peter!).

Updated the game:

- remade all ACTION, NEWS and EXPLORATION cards (better wording, clear conditions, improved effects and etc).

- updated SPECIAL PROJECTS to match GENERAL TECHNOLOGIES cost increase step of 3 science, added new cards, adjusted existing

- added two double sided reference cards for GAME ROUND ORDER, VICTORY POINTS, HOSTILE ENCOUNTERS and SYSTEM / PLANET / SPACE OBJECT types as these being the most commonly used parts of the rulebook

- renamed neutral colonies into independent colonies, this was causing some confusion

- colony abandoning and changing colony type happens BEFORE accounting and they don't produce resources or build ships

- colonizing is not allowed if there are enemy ships in the sector

- added rules for blocaded colonies

- fixed some typos
