Now CS1 is stable, has excellent mod support, detailing, props. gameplay logic that makes sense (even if relatively shallow), plentiful workshop assets and actually runs decently on modern PCs. I'm enjoying being able to dip into city building and detailing knowing that CO aren't going to release any more game-breaking updates for it and I won't have to restart a new city every patch.
I may consider CS2 one day if they actually fix the simulation logic side of things and there are enough mods out to compensate for their lack of basic features (props, decals, zoning control, traffic management, supply chain etc) but going by their current pace, their money-grabbing (we'll 'fix' it later, promise) philosophy and atrocious QA, that might be a very long time...
