How can I get more attention for my workshop items?
Some time ago I used the Back to the Future go kart track to create a ride. Racers race through a recreation of Hill Valley and recreations of particular moments from the film. I spent months working on it, tinkering with features, recreating the various buildings in as exact detail as the game's inventory would allow.
When I finally uploaded the "Hill Valley Rally" as I named it, it shot to 18 views quickly. that was months ago and it's still at 18. Apparently no one's so much as looked at my masterpiece in months. Why is that?

I don't know if this is appropriate or if it counts as being desperate for attention but I put a lot of time, work and effort into this track, thinking it was a work of brilliance, expecting a surge of views and likes but the response has been almost non-existent. So you can imagine how I feel.

Can someone tell me why this has happened? Is there something wrong with my work? Is it poorly presented? Or are people just not playing this game much any more? What can I do about this now?

The workshop is relatively cruel if you do not get any likes initially. A single like in the first few days can be the difference between 18 and 500 subscriptions.

After you upload, your creation gets a few subscriptions because it is new. Afterwards, it pretty much only gets seen if it is a) actively searched for or b) under "Popular Items", which is sorted purely based on recent likes. It is probably best to get some of your steam friends to upvote the item directly after submission.
