What improvements are you planning on making for TennoGen in the future? A couple of things I personally would like to see are a better color picker, being able to specify RGB values. Applying colors across both helmet and body so they are consistent. Better lighting that matches closer to what people will see in-game, perhaps selectable environments for the reflections.
Wondering about the equivalent of Premium Skins for Warframes under TennoGen? Will there be an option to create whole new models for Warframes that fit the theme?
I would love to see how some people would reskin say... oh, I dunno... Limbo. Just, you know, off the top of my hat.. I mean, head.
As a side note: thank you for your hard work. You guys are awesome.
Oh, and a previewer for scrolling energy textures would be so awesome
On DE's workflow, is it always high poly sculpt and bake or do you also do the line details on photoshop/ndo and similar softwares?
This looks like a more complicated one, but will custom weapon models/skins come on tennogen too? For example, the opticor, Is it possible for DE to create a guide for the certain parts that are going to be animated? Or most guns are just gonna stay with texture replacement skins?
Custom Sentinel and Kubrow Armor sets?
Custom Warframe Armor sets?
Are animated Syandana's allowed and if so which rules should they follow.
Also are there any plans for adding more Cosmetic classes like;
Armor Sets
Kubrow / Kevat Sets
Sugatra's
Or maybe even Auxilary Items for each Warframe?
Thank You for giving us the chance to ask these Questions
Also, is it possible to allocate a week after releases, so the authors have chance to revise their accepted works? Because many problem like texture, size, only started to appear after we see the items in game. I believe many creators are willing to make change or improvement to increase players satisfaction
My question is about the whole tennogen selection process. Right now it feels like it's a huge task on your end to select all at once more than 20 items and have them all curated, doing it that way it means having three or maybe four releases per year at max. It seems detrimental to the community and the content creators as well cause longer waiting times means less interest and the possibility of most warframes being overlooked (if creators have only a few chances a year they will all going to aim at the most popular characters for sure). I believe it will be better for everyone if the releases become much more frequent with less items (3-4), this way it would be easier to curate, it would be better to pick something for a warframe that needs some content, it keeps the content flow and the community more engaged and the quality up overall.
There are plans to make this happen?
Can we have access to a special in engine build so we can finally check our skins with the proper Evo Engine? Most imperfections and problems with the Tennogen content that go through and end up in the game is caused by the fact that we can only see those errors once the skin is in the game itself and at that point it's too late for fixing. I know you guys do your best to be sure there's no major problems with the items but we can afford to spend all the time we want to actually fix every single detail of our creations so it would be a much better solution.
PS: I wouldn't mind to sign up NDA documents or everything necessary for that.
Now that I've had the chance to preview my latest submission in-game it's way more matte than it was in the TennoGen Viewer. On top of Hitsu San's request to preview in-engine, is there any way that author's will be able to submit tweaks for items that have already made it in-game?
I was designing a zephyr skin for the contest, and used Krita to edit her masks. This was an ok way to edit her design, but it was often a trial and error process, as I had to label where on the 2-d image the 3-d features were. I heard that you could use blender to draw directly on the 3-d model, allowing you to get more detail into the design and see exactly how your edits affect the 3-d model. Could someone explain how to go about doing this, as I would like to use this in the next round of tennogen.
Thank you for your content :D

Hi there!
These QoL improvements you've listed are on the top of our list as well. We are assessing how far we can take the graphical component of the TennoGen tool without having to pull too many resources away from the game itself. Ideally we can do reflections from different 'sets' i.e Corpus/Grineer. We agree with you, no solid timeline, but the tool is constantly in development. QOL = we'll do it, our lists align!

Probably not 'full' Deluxe because of rigging complexity. We don't say 'no' forever, but on the immediate radar we can't support something as dramatic as the latest Strega Trinity Skin, for example. The more multi-departmental it gets, the less appropriate it is involve TennoGen. That's not to say people can't do top-tier style changing work based on existing models, as demonstrated by Zephyr's Hagoromo skin.

I just have a few questions that I hope won't be too difficult to answer.
1) When/what is coming in the next batch of Tennogen files?
2) What is the stance on themed items such as Syndicate/Lotus stuff. I know Prime stuff is off the table though.
3) The prices for Tennogen have always been a hot toptic. I personally think that they're okay since the creator gets a nice chunk from it. However is there any plans to change the prices or let creators price things themselves?
4) Are there any plans to update the color pickers for the Tennogen tool itself? Sometimes it can feel tedious to have to color certain frames over and over. Chroma is a good example of this since he had well around 3 parts that had to be colored.
5) If your skin has a bug in-game, what is the best course of action? I'm assuming just make a post in the correct sub forum but I just want to make sure that it's going to the right place.
6) Is there a limit of items that gets in per round?
Well thats all of my questions. Thanks for taking the time to do this and help us creators out. c:
