Have you tried opening the game straight to the mod?

Here is how, open the game properties in steam, in general scroll down to where it says "Launch Options" Some mods require that you set it to FoC and some require it sat to EaW. Then in the "Advance Users" section under launch options put Steammod=*mod number* there, to start the game straight into the mod.

To get the steammod's number read the description of the mod in the workshop. The steammods need to be put in certain orders as it is a load order for the mods. and not all mod are compatible with each other.
