Update 1.23 won't let me load dayz.
After the recent update for dayz. I now can't get the game to load. The dayz x64.exe file seems to not want to load. I have reinstalled 4 times and have looked at all the solutions out there. But I'm just short of reinstalling windows and everything else again. Short of going crazy... I have no idea. The update ruined my game!!!

Odd, this seems to be mostly a Win7 issue, with BI dropping support of Win7 in the last update.

When you reinstalled, did you delete all the DayZ folders on your PC (Documents folder and User/AppData/Local)? or did your just uninstall/reinstall?

Did you Verify your Game Files after a clean re-install?

Is your Windows up-to-date? Are all your Drivers up-to-date?

Did you "Accept" the Battleye Terms of Service when you did your re-installs?

Yeah it does seem weird to me. I suspect something got deleted that shouldn't have. And that's a yes to all the things that you have mentioned.I went and found every file in relation to dayz and deleted it. Turned off cloud storage Then reinstalled and validated the game. I have updated my drivers, directx etc. Put the Dayz exe file to run as admin as well.
But its strange that after every update i have had no problem until now. It seems so strange to me how and update stuffed everything up in relation to the game.

Sorry I could not help, but do yourself a favor .. if you go ahead and reinstall windows, and then the Steam Client, don't put Steam in the Default "Program Files" folder .. Create a new folder on your C drive called "_Steam", and install the Steam Client there. It will save you the hassle of having to always set stuff to "run as Admin".
