Is there a mod for 'nid base appearance

I got the Tyranid DLC recently, and while the nids themselves look good the bases/cities look ... like the author ran out of time to do a good job, to say it semi-politely.

So, can anyone point me to a mod that makes the nid cities look different, or confirm for me that no such mod exists yet?

I'm not aware of anything that radically changes their cities' style. However, Cities+ modifies models and textures (it mostly makes them bigger and more visually impressive)... and Timmeh has a city rescale mod - and a city texture mod which also alter them slightly (and looks quite good).
